We are very pleased that you have decided to stay at the "Alpina Vals" and thank you for your trust and for making a reservation.
We are pleased to inform you of our general terms and conditions of business and cancellation (hereinafter referred to as GTC), which apply in the event of a successful reservation. Please check the confirmation and report any errors or corrections immediately.

Scope of application

These GTC apply to all guest accommodation contracts concluded between Hotel Alpina Vals Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Hotel Alpina Vals) and the third party (guest) as well as to all other services and deliveries provided by Hotel Alpina Vals Ltd.

Conclusion of contract

Upon receipt of the written, telephone, electronic or personal booking by the Guest and the delivery of our reservation confirmation, an accommodation contract is concluded. This contract is binding for both parties.

Services, prices & payment
The Hotel Alpina Vals undertakes to provide the services promised and confirmed to the guest.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are per person and in Swiss francs including service and VAT. The obligatory visitor's tax is not included in the accommodation prices and in the packages and will be charged additionally on site.

The total invoice amount is to be paid by the customer at the latest at the time of departure in cash ( in CHF or EUR), by debit card ( EC-Maestro/ Postcard) or by credit card (Mastercard, Visacard).
Hotel Alpina Vals AG reserves the right to demand advance payment. There is no right to invoice.

Cancellation conditions
The following conditions apply to cancellations, no-shows and early departures:

The cancellation deadline defined in the booking confirmation expires at check-in time at 13:00. If a booking is cancelled after this deadline, 80% of the total stay will be charged.

No-shows will be charged 100% of the total amount.

Early departures will be charged 100% of the total amount (room-breakfast basis).

For group bookings (bookings of more than 5 rooms) and during certain dates defined by the Hotel Alpina Vals, other cancellation deadlines may be specified in the reservation confirmation.

We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance prior to departure. 

If the booked arrangement cannot be commenced, the Hotel Alpina Vals will in principle accept a replacement person who must take over the booking under the same conditions. The name of the person must be communicated to Hotel Alpina Vals in advance.

We reserve the right to cancel a reservation within the cancellation period, giving reasons.

Consumption of smoking products in the non-smoking hotel 

The Hotel Alpina Vals is a non-smoking hotel. It is therefore strictly prohibited to smoke in the rooms.
In the event of a violation, the Hotel Alpina Vals will charge an amount between Fr. 50.- and Fr. 250.- as compensation for separately incurred basic cleaning costs.
This amount may be set higher if the Hotel Alpina Vals proves higher damages. The hotel also has the right to charge the guest for any loss of revenue resulting from not being able to rent out the room.
This also applies to smoking with the window open.
Do not try to lower the smoke detector, this will automatically trigger a malfunction in the fire alarm system, which in turn may result in consequential costs, which will be charged to the guest.

Fire regulations and safety rules

Guests undertake to comply with the fire regulations of the Hotel Alpina Vals, in particular the keeping of escape routes free and the observance of the above-mentioned smoking ban.
The use of mobile hotplates, kettles etc. brought in by guests themselves is strictly prohibited.

Security in our hotel
We have installed a camera in the public area of our hotel lobby in order to maintain house rules and to increase the safety of our guests.

Pets

Bringing pets requires the consent of the Hotel Alpina Vals.
Pets are not allowed in the dining restaurant (breakfast room) on the first floor. Pets are generally allowed in the pub/bar after consultation with the hotel staff.
The guest is liable for any damage caused by animals brought into the hotel.
In any case, the Hotel Alpina Vals reserves the right to charge for any final cleaning caused by the animal.

Lost property

For reasons of discretion, lost property will only be forwarded on request and at the risk and expense of the guest.

Advertising

Your postal address and e-mail address may be used for sporadic information deliveries or newsletters.

Liability

The guest is obliged to maintain peace and order.

The hotel room is to be used and treated with the greatest care by the guest. The room may only be used or occupied by the number of persons (including children) mentioned in the reservation confirmation.

Applicable law/ Place of jurisdiction

The contract shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the district court of Lugnez, whereby the Hotel Alpina Vals is free to take legal action at the guest's place of residence or place of business. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Declaration on the obligation to provide information/ data protection declaration

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website. 

Contact with us

If you contact us using the form on the website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. 

The data you provide is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the accommodation contract with you. No data is transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card data to the processing bank / payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company / shipping company commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods and to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.
Furthermore, we would like to point out that we work together with the third-party provider "Trustyou" to give you the opportunity to rate your stay.
