We are expanding Alpina Vals – more information can be found here. We are reopening the hotel and the restaurants on 11 December 2026.
During the closure of Alpina Vals, our staff, including the kitchen team, will be working at our second establishment – Schnider Bed & Breakfast and Café – and would be delighted to welcome you, whether as a hotel or restaurant guest.
Hotel & Guesthouse Alpina
Up here in the Grisons mountain village of Vals, we don't need many words. We prefer to act. And we prefer to do everything simply. Simply well.
A few more words? With pleasure. Some guests refer to the Hotel & Gusthouse Alpina in Vals as a design hotel because it was renovated by the renowned Graubünden architect Gion A. Caminada. Other guests refer to the Hotel Alpina as a boutique hotel because, with 20 rooms, it is small and fine and is personally managed. By the way, Hotellerie Suisse classifies us with three stars.

Hotel extension 2025/2026
Over the past 1.5 years, the Alpina Vals has been extended. The hotel and restaurants will reopen on 11 December 2026.
We are looking forward to the hotel’s own wellness area, featuring a sauna, steam room, relaxation room and a small outdoor hot-water pool. We have also created a cosy lounge with a fireplace for you to relax in.
