Opening periods 2026

We are expanding Alpina Vals – more information can be found here. For this reason, Alpina Vals will be closed from 15 March to 30 June and in autumn 2026. Our hotel and restaurants will be open in July and August.

During the closure of Alpina Vals, our staff, including the kitchen team, will be working at our second establishment – Schnider Bed & Breakfast and Café – and would be delighted to welcome you, whether as a hotel or restaurant guest.

Hotel & Guesthouse Alpina

Up here in the Grisons mountain village of Vals, we don't need many words. We prefer to act. And we prefer to do everything simply. Simply well.

A few more words? Gladly. Some guests refer to the Hotel & Gusthouse Alpina in Vals as a design hotel because it was renovated by the renowned Graubünden architect Gion A. Caminada. Other guests refer to the Hotel Alpina as a boutique hotel because, with 20 rooms, it is small and fine and is personally managed. By the way, Hotellerie Suisse classifies us with three stars.
